Havana Syndrome Latest in U.S. War Propaganda

We've likely all heard of the Havana Syndrome phenomenon by now. At first it was dismissed as a psychogenic illness during Trump's tenure but now our government is suddenly taking it VERY seriously. So seriously that 60 Minutes--a once-credible news program--just did a piece featuring members of Homeland Security & other high-level government officials sharing their symptoms and calling for action against this mysterious condition.

For those who aren't familiar, Havana Syndrome is characterized by symptoms that sound miserable: vertigo, nausea, head pain and pressure, a ringing sensation in the ears known as tinnitus, loss of balance/coordination & loss of vision in some cases. Some victims claimed to hear a piercing high-pitched sound when their symptoms began while others didn't. Up to now, no cohesive theory has been offered as to what could be causing this... at least not by anyone high up in our government. That changed the other night.

60 Minutes guests offered a possible theory as to what's causing it on their latest broadcast: directed microwave weapons. These guests included Bill Burns, head of the CIA under President Biden and Dr. David Relman, Professor of Medicine at Stanford Medicine who headed a panel on Havana Syndrome to determine what might be causing it in these afflicted officials. The conclusion? Pulsed electromagnetic energy. And then the program veered into the weeds even further, bringing on James Benford, a man with no ties to the government studies whatsoever who fancies himself a so-called expert on microwave energy. He literally "wrote the book" on microwaves! The few Google searches I've done on the man bring up topics like aliens & other science fiction fodder, so maybe he's not the scientific authority they think he is. Or perhaps this whole topic of directed microwave beams is the problem. Either/or.

These theoretical weapons are able to penetrate windows and other types of glass from long distances and may or may not cause a high-pitched, cricket-like chirping sound when deployed. They can be aimed at the skulls of anyone, anywhere and used to inflict lasting concussion-like damage to the brain. But no need to panic, they said, because they're only being used on top government officials at the moment.
At least that's the theory.

The problem is there's still not one shred of evidence these microwave weapons exist or that they're being used against state agents and their families to cause "Havana Syndrome," or that said syndrome is anything other than a mass psychogenic illness. There have been vague claims by doctors that damage was visible on brain imaging scans, but compared to what?

Do any brain images exist of these patients from before the illness set in?  Maybe their brains always looked like that.  Without controls there's no way to know.  Furthermore, not all patients even experienced the same symptoms but are being lumped into the same "Havana Syndrome" category. Some heard a piercing high-pitched noise when the symptoms started; others didn't.

One victim claims to be blind in one eye but has no physical damage to his eyes in the 60 Minutes report. The damage allegedly is to the part of his brain that interprets images. That's the first case I've heard of with vision loss which means they're now expanding the definition of "Havana Syndrome" itself.

Vague, Relatable Symptoms

Almost everyone has felt dizzy and off-kilter at some point in their lives. I know I have. There have been at least 2 distinct instances in my life where, out of the blue, I became EXTREMELY nauseated & felt the room start to spin for no reason at all. To this day I don't know what caused it. My aunt once described an episode where she became so disoriented she ended up outside crawling on the ground, unable to speak & didn't know how she got there. Neither of us were on any drugs or booze. Were we having Havana Syndrome? Ehh, no. Most likely it had something to do with the vasovagal response, the inner ear or in her case maybe even a TIA (mini-stroke) as ischemic changes were later found on a brain scan.

Another less common phenomenon that is known to cause symptoms similar to what's being described here is infrasound. Infrasound is a low, inaudible frequency that vibrates the hairs of the inner ear, causing vague feelings of fear, nausea and vertigo for some sensitive people. I experienced this while standing in a field of wind turbines many years ago. It was preceded by an eerie sensation I can't quite describe. I thought maybe the giant turbines were putting off radiation or something and advised my friends that we needed to go home because I felt like I might puke. Maybe I was allergic to something blooming in the field; I didn't know but I knew I needed to get home & lie down. Only years later did I learn about infrasound and its link to not only that nauseating dizzy feeling but also the uneasy "haunted" sensation in places where it's present.

Ethical Implications

Feeding the paranoia of the mentally ill is cruel

But back to these alleged directed microwave weapons. As someone who spends a lot of time on the internet, I've seen claims similar to this going back ages and never among the sane. They refer to themselves as "targeted individuals" and talk interchangeably about gang stalking, EMF, HAARP, microwave radiation, electromagnetic weapons, DARPA, directed-energy weapons, electronic
harassment & other tinfoil hat gobbledygook. These phenomena have all been thoroughly debunked as conspiracy theories--there's even a Wikipedia page about it--and are nothing more than the product of schizophrenic and delusional minds when allowed to congregate with like-minded individuals online instead of taking antipsychotics and getting therapy. It's both sad & harmful to
people with mental illness.

But what's really appalling is for the U.S. government and a once-reputable program like 60 Minutes to promote an idea like this. Not only did they entertain it, they went a step further & named off a list of countries that could feasibly be responsible for such a weapon and, what do you know, one of them happened to be Russia--a nation we're on the brink of war with due to the Ukraine conflict. Do they really think we're THAT fucking dense?

Of course the comment section under the 60 Minutes vid on Youtube is full of replies by paranoids sharing their own "experiences" with electronic harassment & microwave torture, which is what makes this whole thing so disgusting & unethical. If the highest officials in the land are feeding into these delusions, then what? Are these people supposed to believe their mental health professionals when they tell them they're not being electronically targeted by microwave weapons? No, they can just show them the 60 Minutes piece as "evidence" that these weapons exist and are being used against people on American soil. Who is some lowly psychiatrist to argue with these distinguished world leaders?

Big thanks to the FBI, CIA, 60 Minutes & everyone else who is promoting this Havana Syndrome nonsense. Just know you're making it that much harder for the public to trust experts when it comes to things like vaccines, masks, climate change & other life-or-death issues. The episode is below for anyone who wants to see for themselves how ridiculous it all sounds after reading the info linked in this article.

"Havana Syndrome" stumps investigators as U.S. officials report injuries on White House grounds

For anyone who still finds Havana Syndrome as described by 60 Minutes plausible, I'd love to know how these 'targeted individuals' in the government could be followed from continent to continent and located in private hotel rooms or other obscure places to have microwaves beamed into their skulls while all the people in the floors around them are unaffected.  If it's really what they claim--directed microwave weapons--it would have to be DIRECTED at their skulls or at least in the very pointed direction of these specific individuals.  Which means those doing the directing would have to follow them and know their location at all times.

And the two who claim to have experienced it on the steps of the West Wing:  did the second victim know about the first victim's symptoms happening on those stairs before it happened to them?  That's a crucial piece of info that's conveniently left out of the 60 Minutes report.  If so, it completely invalidates the second person's story because that's exactly how psychogenic illness spreads--by suggestion.

That's not to say they're not actually sick, by the way.  Just that they weren't targeted and it wasn't a malicious attack caused by something mysterious.  There are an infinite number of legitimate medical conditions that can cause these very symptoms and with the advent of COVID, which is notorious for causing lasting neurological complications even with mild cases, it's quite likely the symptoms aren't "all in their heads" (i.e. imaginary) but a result of something real like a post-viral syndrome or something else physical.

As Dr. Grande explains in this video, working in a high-stress job like these top government positions and hearing of others in those same positions experiencing a strange new condition is all it takes to induce symptoms in a person.  This is not an unprecedented thing by any means:  the list of historical cases of mass hysteria, however unflattering that term may sound, is incredibly long and interesting.  I highly suggest giving it a read.  No, really.  If you do you'll see that "Havana Syndrome" is absolutely nothing new or unique.  And there's no way officials at the highest levels of our government don't know this, that's the messed up part.  If a random non-expert like me is aware of this phenomenon, you can bet the top minds controlling the strongest military power on Earth are too.

That can only mean one thing:  that they're purposefully misleading us and using this as propaganda for a nefarious purpose.  What that purpose is, one can only speculate.  But check out this photo from the Washington Post & draw your own conclusions.  The accompanying article is entitled "Havana Syndrome' and Holding Putin Accountable":

Mystery solved?  They've already decided whodunnit over at WaPo.
