Outstanding Documentaries - Blood Business: The New Cannibalism? (2020)

Donating plasma is often seen as an act of giving & selflessness. But do you know where your plasma donations go? Most people assume they're sent to hospitals where they're used in life-saving emergency transfusions, but that's not the whole story. Not even half. Turns out, only 20% of the plasma is used in hospitals--the other 80% is sent to private pharmaceutical companies to be used in the development of proprietary biological products sold to customers around the world for top dollar prices while "donors" (a misnomer as they're actually compensated, though meagerly) are given a pittance: about $50-$75 per appointment.

This is just one of the alarming facts exposed in Blood Business by Java Films. The filmmakers delve deep into this seedy industry that under-compensates donors who are often homeless, addicted to drugs or sick with serious diseases in exchange for this vital bodily fluid referred to as "liquid gold" by those in the plasma game.

Plasma donor describes the rush of a K2 high

Blood Business pulls back the curtain on a shady industry that played a huge role in the spread of the HIV virus in the 1970s (Google "Hemo-Caribbean" for more on that) which ran a similarly dirty operation in Haiti before shipping their plasma products to the U.S--the only country on Earth that would accept blood products from places with such lax hygiene standards. However, filmmakers are repeatedly thrown off the property & threatened with trespassing charges by police for simply trying to conduct interviews with plasma donors which sets an ominous tone for the movie.

The high point of the doc is the interview with a drug addicted donor who is selling plasma to finance his habit. It raises not only ethical questions but major safety ones. What are the health implications of accepting blood products from people who use novel Frankenstein chemicals like Spice & K2? Why are clinics allowing donors to give blood more than the recommended number of times per month, and what could the long-term health consequences be for them? (Even a single donation can lead to side effects like fainting, serious infections, bleeding & dehydration). Should the pharma giants getting rich off these vulnerable patients be required to pay them fairly for their vital donations? Should that even be a question?

Police "protecting" Octapharma from filmmakers

The demand for these plasma products is high: they're life-saving and currently can't be made synthetically, which raises questions about the ethics of paying people for their plasma. (The financial incentive tends to attract people who need the money rather than those who are there for altruistic reasons, which is why we don't pay people for blood donations. Whole blood is also a vital resource but paying donors makes the blood supply less safe). The supply has to come from somewhere, and the U.S. just so happens to have a dense population of drug-addicted, poor and needy people willing to do anything for the small amount of cash they get for selling their lifeblood.

The incentive for industries like this (and the war profiteers, who recently made remarks about military recruitment being affected by student loan forgiveness) to keep people desperately poor to keep their cheap supply of labor/bodies rolling in cannot be ignored. These interests have huge lobbying power in D.C. & finance the campaigns of candidates from both parties. Incidentally, it's illegal in most of the world to trade money for plasma. Only 5 countries allow it: Hungary, Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria & the U.S.

Tracing the plasma's path from from the 'hoods of Cleveland to its final destination in the upscale Lake Zurich, Switzerland, Blood Business is a masterful documentary that paints a dark picture of the state of U.S. vampire capitalism in the 21st Century. The contrast between us and other developed nations is so stark in this film it will take your breath away, from the rampant poverty to the widespread drug addiction to the aggressive policing and corporate exploitation of our most vulnerable. As we claw our way back from the worst pandemic in American history, you can't help but feel like another is lurking in the shadows when watching movies like this. We're repeating the mistakes of the blood banks during the AIDS epidemic by relying on high-risk donors to self-report things like underlying health conditions & other dangerous behaviors that could taint the plasma supply in ways we can't even predict yet.

My Latest Obsession...

I'm kinda obsessed with Radio.Garden.  It's a website where you can listen in realtime to radio stations all over the world (and I do mean "all over"), from NYC to Papua New Guinea!  I stayed up all night smoking reefer and favoriting stations recently.  They offer starting points from different categories like "Island Life" and "Radio Diaspora" from which you can choose, or you can just click random dots all over the map to listen to things.  Click the little heart to save your faves.  ❤

One of many categories offered on Radio.Garden

As someone whose high school only taught us the 50 states in geography, Radio.Garden offers a great geography lesson while being really entertaining and educational.  And most of the music is SO much better than the crap we're subjected to here.  I'm discovering all kinds of artists and songs I didn't know existed.  The only downside is they don't list song/artist names, but with the help of Shazaam you can identify most songs.  Paris, France (Skyrock, Radio, FlP, CherieFM, Hotmix, etc) has the most stations of any large city I've found, followed by the San Francisco Bay area (SomaFM) so check them out.  Ibizza is great if you like dance/electronic music, and the islands of Bermuda, Jamaica & St. Lucia have some amazing reggae.  I found one random Black Power station on an island somewhere that just had a guy ranting about white people at 4:00 a.m. lmao.

Check it out now, no app downloads or signups necessary!

Krayzie Bone Appreciation Post: Bone, Mo' Thugs, TM1999 & More

Since BTnH is back together again as a 5-piece, I thought I'd show some love for one of its founding members & someone I consider to be one of the most slept-on artists in the whole rap game: Krayzie Bone.  I already did an article on Bizzy Bone here, one on the group as a whole here and one on Bizzy's sons Bloodline Harmony here.  (Yeah, I'm a tad obsessed).

I'd like to focus specifically on the period from 1996-2000, a time when Kray was overflowing with creativity & on top of his game & the game in general, working like a dog & putting out consistently high-quality, influential work.  Perhaps new fans who aren't as familiar with his older stuff can learn something from it, or at least pick up a few new song recommendations.  ✊๐Ÿพ

Krayzie's put out tons of great work since '99/2000, but this era for me was the highlight and only deepened my love for BTnH.  When the group started out I felt some of the other members had more promise, or at least were equally yoked with Kray.  But after his work on The Art of War, I knew he & Bizzy were the standouts for me due to their opposite yet complementary vocal tones, one high and the other low. Likewise their rap styles were the most unique, one full of fire & the other smooth & mellow.

Krayzie survived a near-death health situation in 2023 & was hospitalized for 9 days on a ventilator due to his battle with sarcoidosis.  During that time fans really showed their love, creating vids of themselves rapping to his songs & participating in the "Pray 4 Kray" campaign started by Bizzy Bone.  It was a great reminder of how devoted the Bone cult truly is.  (Impressively multi-cultural too!)  But he still doesn't get the respect he deserves in the industry for being a highly influential, innovative artist.  His work not only stands the test of time but is easily up there with Snoop Dogg, Big Boi, Method Man, B-Real & other '90s rappers of the Golden Era.  His ability to switch from rapid-fire raps to his signature husky-voiced flow give him something no other rapper has been able to touch even to this day.

MO' THUG FAMILY SCRIPTURES  ๐Ÿ“œ

In '96 Layzie and Krayzie Bone produced & featured on this album intended as a showcase for other artists from Cleveland.  It changed the game in the way famous rappers brought out their entire crew of gifted homies & doesn't get enough recognition for it to this day.  No Limit Soldiers, Ruff Ryders, Swishahouse & others followed this formula to great success and owe a great debt to Mo' Thugs in my opinion.
✊๐Ÿพ

KB in '96

Krayzie sparkles on tracks like Murder Mo,' Thug Devotion & my personal favorite, Low Down with Souljah Boy (the original, not the tone-deaf teenager). In fact these are some of my all-time favorite verses from Krayzie due to his melodic but deadly vocals.  The album as a whole flows very smoothly & features artists with fast Bone-like rap styles including Graveyard Shift, Poetic Hustla'z & the aforementioned Souljah Boy so it's beloved for that reason, plus the production is ominous yet chill--the perfect 'stormy weather' or 'hanging in the alleyway/by the train tracks' album.  Those are the images I get when I listen to it anyway.

THE ART OF WAR  ⚔  (1997)

The Mo' Thug thing was cool, but everyone was starving for a proper Bone album by '97.  After the massive high of
E. 1999 Eternal & their hit single Tha Crossroads which won them a Grammy (not to mention the title track "East 1999" & timeless banger 1st of tha Month, people wondered if Bone would be able to keep up the momentum without their mentor Eazy-E who passed in early '95.  They were, thanks largely due to Krayzie Bone's infectious hook writing & singing on double album The Art of War.  Kray has several short feature songs on this album, including Neighborhood Slang, Hardtimes & Blaze It in addition to his full-length solo track All Real.  But his ability to craft catchy hooks really shone on songs like If I Could Teach The World, How Many of Us Have Them, U Ain't Bone & Evil Paradise.

AoW-era Kray

This album featured the late 2Pac & dropped very shortly after his death (there was controversy about whether to include the song, which is full of gunshot sound effects & murder references).  Other features include Mr. Maje$ty of 7th Sign, Souljah Boy of Mo' Thugs & several other Mo' Thug All-Stars.  Subject matter included shutting down "haters" and "biters" like Do or Die, Crucial Conflict & Three 6 Mafia, all of whom bone felt were stealing their style.  While some fans felt this double album could've been a single, it still ranks among top BTnH albums of all time & definitely the most catchy due to Krayzie's genius hooks & short songs that break up the monotony.

MO THUG FAMILY SCRIPTURES VOL. 2: FAMILY REUNION ✊๐Ÿพ (1998)

While this album wasn't coming quite as hard as the 1st, it featured some of the old groups from the 1st installment (Graveyard Shift, Souljah Boy, II Tru) as well as new faces like Layzie's wife Felecia, Thug Queen & white rapper Powder who featured on the smash hit Ghetto Cowboy.  This was a year before Eminem hit the scene at a time when white rappers were still a joke in the industry thanks to Vanilla Ice, so one could argue that Mo' Thugs really took a gamble here & was ahead of their time in this way.  Also featured were Flesh-n-Bone and Wish Bone, both of whom fit well on the Mo' Thug projects (especially Wish who never put out a solo album). The album even spawned some hits including All Good & Ghetto Cowboy.  But my #1 track has to be Urban Souljah by Graveyard Shift.  One half of the duo, rapper Tombstone, would die shortly after this album dropped, which was a huge loss.

Oh, and Krayzie ripped Wu-Tang a new one with his bar about RZA's speech impediment on "Ain't Said No Names"!

The progression of Mo' Thug

As with Bizzy's 7th Sign Records, I was never crazy (pun intended) about Krayzie's Thug Line/The Line/The Life venture & wish they would've stuck with Mo' Thugs a bit longer as these were some highly creative, unique groups & artists.  By splitting their focus they only got more distant from each other & the Cleveland sound, venturing off in some directions that were, at best, lukewarm successes & at other times, totally baffling (AC Killer?  Bone Brothers I-III?  Raiden Rush?  Raymurda?).   Mo' Thug was eventually left to Layzie Bone & abandoned by the label after low sales due to Kray's absence after this album.  He claims to have moved on due to Layzie's drinking & other general chaos within the project but I'm sure there are 2 sides to that story.

(Edit:  Yup, there are.  Both sides can be found on Youtube on "Holdin' Court's" podcast lmao).

THUG MENTALITY 1999  ๐Ÿ’€  (1999)

Bone Thugs always planned to drop solo albums, which was hinted at on The Art of War with all the solo tracks.  Bizzy's 1st offering Heaven'z Movie sounded a bit unfinished but was relatively popular at the time & Layzie's L-Burna offering had a couple hits, but Krayzie's solo blew all the others out of the water & set the bar high for Bone solos... maybe a little too high.

TM1999 era

While Kray's put out lots of great music since this album, nothing hits quite as hard as his 1st solo album.  He was still using his E. 1999 flow at this point, something that'd change on his next album Thug on da Line.  It truly marks the end of an era, both in terms of his rap style & the end of the 20th Century overall.  Plus the number of guest features, which included Mariah Carey, E-40, Stephen Marley, Snoop Dogg and The Doggpound among MANY others made this album a true masterpiece, one of the last of the '90s.  (Features generally annoy me on an album but this was done masterfully). I would argue that it's the greatest solo album by any member of a rap crew ever due to the way Krayzie raps, sings & blends his style seamlessly with the diverse guest artists from different genres. I actually prefer it to The Art of War, Mo' Thug 2 & BTnH Resurrection.

Highlights include Heated Heavy, Drama, Street People, Smokin' Budda, Won't Ez Up Tonight, We Starvin' & Revolution.  He even worked a Willy Wonka sample into the album on I Still Believe feat. Mariah Carey as well as a Sammy Davis Jr. sample on Dummy Man (Skit)!  And then there was the massively creative
Kneight Riduz, a painted-face horrorcore group comprised of Krayzie, Lareece, Sin of Graveyard Shift & Mo' Hart of Poetic Hustla'z. This was BEFORE Insane Clown Posse or Twiztid hit it big, mind you.  They had a song on TM1999's Disc 2/B-side.  Somehow they made it all work on this double album which was so long half the songs were missing from my cassette version.  (Who still listened to cassette tapes in the late '90s anyway?  This girl).

BTnH Resurrection ๐ŸŒ  (2000)

For some disrespectful reason, Bone decided to hit the studio while Krayzie was still touring behind his solo album Thug Mentality 1999.  Maybe it was because the group's 5th member Flesh-n-Bone was headed to prison for a very long time & they wanted to let him speak his piece first.  Yet Krayzie was still able to squeeze into the studio & drop some jewels on this offering too--my favorites being his verses on Ecstasy, Can't Give It Up & Battlezone, the latter track a Top 10 of all time among many Bone fans.

Millennium-era Kray

This album lacked the catchy hooks of The Art of War & did poorly on the Billboard charts, with several singles failing to chart.  Only one track, Resurrection (Paper, Paper) charted at all, and it came in at #52--a far cry from the group's reign at the top with songs like Tha Crossroads, Dayz of Our Livez & Look Into My Eyes.  The beats were also lacking on some tracks, but it was still an underground classic with the group's cult following (including me),
achieving platinum status within a month.

Like their 2013 offering World War III, this album would've likely come out better if it was heavier on the Krayzie Bone and he'd had more time to craft his hooks/verses.  By this point, the group had the distinction of being the only rappers to collaborate with Eazy-E, 2Pac & Biggie as well as Big Pun, all of whom were deceased by the year 2000.  Unfortunately this is also when they'd start experiencing serious internal strife, with Bizzy's increasing absences due to drinking & Flesh's long prison sentence leaving them a 3-piece for the better part of the 2000s.  Yet the 3 men still managed to hold it down, making it work in videos with Phil Collins on "Home" in 2003 and Akon on "I Tried" (2006).  The album from which the latter song came, Strength & Loyalty, won them an American Music Award in 2007.  That same year, Krayzie Bone won a Grammy for "Ridin'" with Chamillionaire.

Editor's Picks for All-Time fave Krayzie Bone Tracks & Verses:  Mo' Murda, Smokin' Budda, Low Down, Dummy Man, Won't Ez Up Tonight, Body Rott, Battlezone, Mr. Bill Collector, Sons of Assassins, Look Into My Eyes (both versions!), Rebel Music, Hi-D-Ho, Smoking Lovely aka Smoke wit me, A Wise Fool & Slippin'.

What's your favorite Krayzie Bone album or song?  LMK in the comment section below.  Bone thugs 4 LYFE!   ✊๐Ÿฝ ✊๐Ÿป ✊๐Ÿฝ ✊๐Ÿฟ ✊๐Ÿพ

About Biden's Cancer...

Upon hearing the news that former President Joe Biden has an aggressive form of prostate cancer that was incurable as it had spread to his bones, my first thought was "Hmmm.  I thought most forms of prostate cancer were slow growing and/or responded well to treatment?"  Lo and behold, I open my social media page and see this.  It's an opinion from a urologist claiming there's no way he didn't know he was sick long before now.  To quote:

“This is what I typically would see in a VA hospital, where a patient hasn’t had medical attention in 10 years, presents to an emergency room with bone pain, and then they find that it’s metastatic prostate cancer,” Shusterman told “NewsNation Prime” on Sunday.

As you know, our politicians receive top-of-the-line healthcare so there's no way he was only diagnosed on May 18th, 2025.  So who's orchestrating this coverup?  Who knew before now in addition to Biden himself?

Red Blankets, "Pavilion Patients" & Inequality in Healthcare

RBG's cancer history reads like a grocery list for the Grim Reaper.  ☠

As I've often lamented, politicians in the House, Senate and Executive branch receive taxpayer-funded healthcare--the same socialized medicine they deny US--at the best hospitals including Walter Reed.  This same healthcare allowed Ruth Bader Ginsburg to survive a miraculous NINE YEARS after a pancreatic cancer diagnosis, to say nothing of her bowel or lung cancer and other health problems.  For reference, the average survival time after diagnosis with exocrine pancreatic cancer is 6-12 monthsThis deadliest of cancers has an abysmal 5-year survival rate of around 5%.  That's because it's rarely diagnosed early enough to cure.  Except in RBG's case.  Hers was discovered in 2009 during "a routine checkup" before it even caused any symptoms.  Are internal imaging tests part of YOUR "routine checkups"?  Or maybe the imaging tests were to check up on her other two forms of generally deadly cancer (lung, bowel).

Why should one woman's (predictable) death throw the entire U.S. political system into a tailspin?

Indeed, RBG's history of surviving deadly cancers and living to the ripe old age of 87 defies not only the medical odds, it beggars belief.  What oh WHAT could've enabled her to beat the odds and continue her high-profile, demanding career in the Supreme Court until damn near the day she died?  Could it be her TAXPAYER-FUNDED SOCIALIZED MEDICINE?  More worryingly, are doctors trying harder and paying closer attention to the health of politicians & the rich due to the nature of their jobs & their potential donor status?  Could it be that their lives are valued much higher than ours even in medical institutions where everyone's supposed to be on equal footing?

Yes, and here's proof:  The so-called "red blanket patients" at certain hospitals who receive VIP service and special care.  That's according to a doctor who worked at one & treated several of these high-status patients himself.  "Patient Relations gave them (red blankets) to some CEOs, celebrities & trustees' friends... the blanket spoke for itself:  "This patient is important".  Most of us were completely unaware that such "luxury" options existed at places that consider Jell-O a delicacy.  Gee, IDK about you but when I hear that someone is "important," that automatically implies that they're MORE important than someone else and maybe the ONLY important person in the equation.  Otherwise there would be no need for relative indicators of importance.  Like color-coded blankets.

According to the article linked in the last paragraph, 10 of the country's 15 most prestigious hospitals offer special luxury options to red blanket or "pavilion patients" as they're often called.  Among the VIP services on offer to them are private hotel-like rooms on the top floor, fluffy bath robes, gourmet food and other amenities.  Because doctors and nurses are responsible for caring for multiple patients at once, logic dictates that certain LESS POWERFUL patients--particularly women, racial minorities or indigent and disabled folks--will receive the shit end of the stick.  It's a sort of 'triage by income' or donor status system, and it's fucking repugnant.  From longer wait times in ERs to recovery rooms without a view, which have been linked to slower healing times with certain types of surgery & other negative outcomes, it's safe to assume that non-elite patients are getting the shaft.  This goes beyond mere convenience or comfort issues because, as you know, hospitals are places where lives depend on timely, quality service.

But back to Biden's cancer.

What Doctors Had To Say About Biden's Cancer

All the outlets repeating the lie.

Dr. David Shusterman states:  “The fact that we just find it at a Gleason nine is just pretty much unheard of in this day and age of medicine.  This is what I typically would see in a VA hospital, where a patient hasn’t had medical attention in 10 years, presents to an emergency room with bone pain, and then they find that it’s metastatic prostate cancer.”

Hear that?  A VA hospital patient that hasn't had healthcare in 10 years!  The former president didn't "slip through the cracks" with his top-of-the-line healthcare.  He HAD to have known prior to the date the media claims he found out (May 18th).  Yet the BBC, People Magazine, NBC News, The New York Times and other major media outlets are repeating the claim dutifully without question, simply taking his "team's" press release at face value.  Here's what other doctors had to say:

The PSA blood test shows the rate of cancer cell growth. For even with the most aggressive form, it is a 5-7 year journey without treatment before it becomes metastatic,” he [Dr. Steven Quay] said.  Meaning, it would be malpractice for this patient to show up and be first diagnosed with metastatic disease in May 2025,” he continued.

Dr. Howard Formman stated:  “It is inconceivable that this was not being followed before he left the Presidency.”

Emphasis mine.  There you have it, from the mouths of actual medical doctors.  All you "follow the science/trust the experts" people need to do just that in this case.

Our Geriatric Electorate

This shitshow is why Trump is in power.  And no, they don't care.

The issue of geriatric lawmakers and politicians is a serious one that often signals the downfall of nations (see: Soviet Union at the time of their collapse).  It's called gerontocracy and we're currently plagued with it, with 2025's crop of not-so-fresh-faced representatives being the third oldest in the nation's history.  (The only years that surpassed it being 2017 and 2021--both within the last decade).  Some of the most "famous" (gag) politicians are over 80:  Mitch McConnell (83), Bernie Sanders (82), Nancy Pelosi (83), Diane Feinstein (90) and Chuck Grassley, clocking in at a youthful 91.  Meanwhile, Trump is the oldest president ever at time of inauguration:  78.

What the actual fuck is going on here?

Why do we allow career politicians who have a vested interest in NOT solving problems lest they lose their jobs run our lives and receive prime benefits for the privilege?  Doddering old dinosaurs at that, often with withering neurons and reduced cognitive capacity?  Furthermore, w
hy is Biden's cancer considered "aggressive" when it responds to hormone therapy?  Is it really that the cancer is an aggressive type, or did he just fail to treat it for 5-10 years?  Did he choose to forego treatment because he was in office and receiving chemo or radiation--which cause tell-tale physical signs--would've led people to demand that he step down?  Was he pressured by others in his circle to ignore the cancer to save face?  The issue of elder abuse arises if so...

By all means, it's up to the individual whether and how they choose to deal with their cancer, but when we're talking about the leader of the free world, it'd be nice for the public to get a heads-up since he, you know, controls our lives.  It's beyond time to start making 3rd party administered cognitive tests and basic routine health screenings part of the deal for all incoming presidents.  ESPECIALLY if they're over 55.  And the results must be made public immediately, not covered up.  We have a right to know this stuff, just as we have a right to know anything else about a politician's past or present.  These are public figures with immense power, not private citizens who have the right to keep their health issues quiet.  It's one of the things they forego when they take over the most powerful offices in the land. And it's incredibly relevant to their ability to lead.

And as long as drug tests are going to be on the table for the rest of us, politicians should have to take them too.  As if it's not enough of a perk to get the free VIP healthcare, fat salary & all the rest, they also get a free pass on all things health.  Clearly it's time that stops.  Requiring our House, Senate & President to be drug-free and in good health is a low bar & should be the bare minimum to run for office, let alone claim the title. But will this happen?  No.  Of course it won't.  Pundits will debate whether these old codgers should submit to these tests, as they've done for ages, yet it'll never become law.  Because nobody will demand it of "their guy" like they already don't.  We've accepted at least 2 presidents with credible rape accusations to hold the office, and a felon with 34 fucking charges currently holds it.

This is where "lesser evilism" gets us.  When your reasons for supporting a candidate include "Well at least he's not as bad as THEIR guy!" you end up at the bottom of the barrel with the quickness.  Just like every other major political scandal from JFK's assassination to the Epstein list, our leaders' health status will remain sealed to the public because fuck us, that's why.  As long as we don't demand and require things like this of our leaders, they won't be granted to us.  Why would they?  Just "vote blue" a little harder, that's sure to work...   ๐Ÿ˜’

If we'd had a robust and healthy Democratic candidate who could make it through the presidential debate without throwing it so badly he was replaced with a whole different candidate, maybe Trump wouldn't be in office now.  There's no way to know that, but it's crystal clear that continuing down this path of requiring nothing from our leaders is leading nowhere good.  They should at least be held to the same standards as the rest of us regarding job fitness, drug testing & other considerations, if not higher standards.  Because they make decisions that affect us all, sometimes for generations (looking at you, RBG).

I wish Biden the best with his cancer battle, but he would've had a much better chance of beating the disease had he treated it when it was first diagnosed, which was definitely NOT May 18th, 2025.  Somebody knows when the real diagnosis date is, but they're not talking.  Because we're not making them talk.  And that hurts all of us.

Screw a Vision Board: Here's How to ACTUALLY Obtain Your Dream

They say the difference between a dream and a goal is a deadline.  Incredibly accurate, but that's only one part of it.  Whether it's a major career move, getting into the college of your dreams, scoring a date with your soulmate/twin flame or something less lofty like remodeling the kitchen, it always helps to have a series of actionable steps & considerations to work from.  And it should be in writing for maximum benefit.  (Sorry if you're one of those peeps who despises writing/typing but it's true).  Putting it on paper helps not only with maintaining motivation throughout the journey but also organizing your plan into a series of smaller steps that are more digestible.  Plus it formalizes things & makes it "official," bringing the idea from the realm of daydreams into the tangible world, like pulling a star down from the sky.  ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸคŒ๐Ÿผ

Start by answering the following questions, writing down your answers on paper or typing them in a Word document.  Be as specific and clear as possible but don't overthink it.  Just answer honestly from the gut:

. 。・゜✭・.・✫゜・。.. 。・゜✭・.・✫゜・。.. 。・゜✭・.・✫゜・。.. 。・゜✭・.・✫゜・。.

Firstly, what IS my goal?
Name it and claim it!

 - Do I really, truly WANT this thing to become a reality?  Have I weighed all the known downsides/cons against the positives and left room for any unknowns?  Jotting down a list of pros and cons side by side can be really helpful in obtaining clarity here if you're not 100% sure.

- If yes, WHY do I want it?  Be specific about what positive changes you believe this goal would bring to your life.  (Defining your "why" is super important for motivational purposes, so don't skip this one!  Think of it as your mission statement).

- Is the goal realistic & attainable?  Most things are achievable with enough humility, work & planning, but it's always worth stepping back & assessing whether it's truly worth all that first.  If your goal is to build a working time machine or win the Powerball lotto, for instance, perhaps it'd be better to leave that in the realm of fantasy & shift your focus to something more... doable.  ๐Ÿ™ƒ

- If yes, what concrete actions am I willing to take to make it happen?  What are my hard limits? (i.e. where you draw the line on what you're NOT willing to do, change or sacrifice in service of the goal).

- What short-term actions (like, starting today and in the coming weeks) can I take to improve my long-term likelihood of success?

- What people/places/behaviors should I AVOID to improve my chances?

- What potential setbacks or complications are most likely to arise along the way, and how can I best overcome them?  Just include one or two things here. This can include anything from losing motivation to negative self-talk, procrastination, rejection, distraction or failing to achieve a smaller short-term part of the plan on time.  Note:  this isn't asking what you most FEAR could happen, but what's most likely to happen.  We can't predict the future but most of us are pretty well aware of our biggest weaknesses & bad habits if we're honest.  These things create patterns in our lives that we often run from rather than face.  Face them NOW.

- Who can I look to for inspiration, advice or support while working toward this goal?   This can include celebrities or public figures if you don't know anyone IRL who has achieved something similar, or if you think sharing your plan would be detrimental.  It often is.  Self-help type books & motivational speakers are another option.

- What's my ideal (preferred) deadline and absolute deadline? (i.e. - the very furthest date from today you'd be willing to invest energy/effort into this project).  Write each in day/month/year format.   To help determine your absolute deadline, consider things like your age & where you're likely to be in other aspects of your life by then.  Do you still want to be working toward this goal in 2 years, 5 years?  A decade?  When you're retired?  Be realistic. You can amend this later if something major changes along the way, but try to stick to it as much as possible.

After finishing, store the answers somewhere private & safe where you can easily access them later.  As you check items off your short-term actions list, physically check them off on the page to help visualize how far you've come vs. how far you still have to go.  On days when you feel defeated or overwhelmed (and there will be hard days, as anything worth obtaining won't come easy), return to this list for motivation & guidance.  ๐ŸŒˆ✨

While it's not a guarantee you'll be successful, it certainly helps putting things in writing like this.  Vision boards are for daydreaming; a written plan is for achieving.  It's like traveling to a new destination for the first time--you might still miss a turn with a map in your lap or GPS on the dashboard, but your chances of getting hopelessly lost & giving up are much lower.  ๐Ÿ—พ

Attention X.com Scammers:

Attention Retards:  This post is directed at any and all Twitter/X.com scammers, catfish, sextortionists, account thieves, fake drug dealers, undercover cops and phonies who use the photos of foreign escorts as their profile pic to try and con me--I'm not buying what you're selling and I won't be divulging my personally identifying info or photos after a few miniutes of DM'ing in broken English either.  (If your chosen con tactic or identity isn't listed here, don't worry because I extend this to you as well).  I'm very good at discerning bullshit from legitimate communication & tracking your IRL location.  Don't worry about the "how," just know that you'll regret the day you decided to try to pull one over on me.  This is your one and only warning.

One more time for the slow 'tards in the back:

I won't be transferring any funds to your Bitcoin wallet, picking up a pre-loaded Visa, wiring you money, making a "temporary deposit" while awaiting a promised payoff, laundering money through my bank, clicking your bogus phishing links, receiving any of your scammy packages or otherwise sending you money or prizes.  You're wasting your time.  And I'll never share my real name, photo or location either so fuck off into the sun with that nonsense.

Here's what I WILL do:  report your account & block you.  But before doing that, your true identity will be shared with the Feds after I scrape your IP address and do a reverse image search to see whose real identity you've stolen.  If you contact me with that bullshit, you better prepare to go down like the Ogoshi brothers (17 years in prison), Elvis Eghosa Ogiekpolor (25 years) or this cute husband and wife couple who received 6 years + 3 months, will be deported & forced to pay $342,000 to their victims.

I don't know what jail is like in the Motherland, but here in the U.S. that shit is nothing nice.  You'll be eating literal slop in a vain attempt to offset the Vitamin D deficiency from never seeing the sun when you're not busy guarding your backside in the showers or trying not to get shanked in the heart in the rec yard, that is.  They have no desire to rehabilitate or reform you--it's all about punishment & return business.  Then again, there's nothing "nice" or humane about what you're doing by draining the hard-earned savings from the elderly and disabled while promising them something substantial in return, be it a loving relationship, a big financial payday or what have you.

Exhibit A

Your life as you're currently living it is meaningless & the world would be better off without you.  Rather than work to earn an honest living (or hell, even selling drugs or stolen merchandise which are an illegal but desired service!), you sit on your lazy ass stealing from the vulnerable in wealthy countries, justifying it with some nonsense about colonialism or slavery.  What you fail to acknowledge is the role the African elite played in the Atlantic slave trade.  One African ruler referred to it as "Africa's bread and butter".  The practice of trapping children & others from enemy tribes and selling them to the highest bidder was part and parcel of the abhorrent practice, so save your sob story about "getting even" with us rich whities for someone who doesn't know the score.

Exhibit B

Since you seem so butthurt about your life circumstances, I would say "better luck in your next life" but luck won't help where you're going.  Your karma for engaging in this evil crime is guaranteed to be a bitch. Maybe you'll come back as a Chernobyl baby or Agent Orange child with a head thrice the size of a healthy child's cranium, or a Palestinian kid who watches their whole family be obliterated by Israel's evil regime on one of their religious holidays...

Or maybe you'll come back as a widowed American dementia patient who relies on her Social Security checks to survive in a country without universal healthcare where the disabled often end up homeless & the elderly are left to fend for themselves when it comes to end-of-life care, often dying alone in their homes-- their decaying corpses not being discovered until months later.  The possibilities are practically endless.  However that's between you and your pathetic God.

Exhibit C

What I do know is that any ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ or ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ scammers (or ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ, ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ด or๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฐ for that matter) who consider contacting me better think twice.  This is your one and only warning not to mess with @BannedintheUSSA on Twitter/X or ann_fetamine on Instagram.  I won't stop with reporting your account or blocking you & will turn you in to my good friends at the FBI, EFCC or ICPC depending on your crime & location, the latter of which I have ways of narrowing down even if you use a VPN.

Sleep tight, fucktards.  Next time you wake up it could be to a SWAT team kicking down your door.

๐Ÿ˜ด ๐Ÿšช๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿฆต

P.S. - This ragey rant does not apply to honest people from the aforementioned countries.  I'm no xenophobe & have love for all races & cultures as long as you don't play me for a fool.

Call To Action: Tell OK Lawmakers to Vote NO on SB 1027!

(You needn't actually live in this shithole state to take action, as you're about to see).

Just wrote yet another trashcan-bound letter to our worst-in-the-nation lawmakers, this time about SB 1027.  This abomination will permanently kill the initiative petition process that allows Oklahomans to sign petitions to get issues on the ballot.  It in no way guarantees that said items will be voted into law; merely that they're put on the ballot for a vote.  Recent petition items?  Marijuana legalization (passed in 2018) & Medicaid expansion (passed in 2020).  Current items include raising the minimum wage & allowing Oklahomans of ANY political persuasion to participate in primary voting.  So you can see why this petition thing is hated by our wicked fundie overlords.

The petition process is the only means by which voters can make a tangible, actual difference or have any say whatsoever in our fate & they're
thisclose to taking it away.  Because no matter how catshit crazy (with a C) the Republicunt MAGA cult have made this state, it's never crazy enough for their liking.  There's always a new low.  We are truly the best at being the worst.

Hypocrisy: The Name of the Republican Game

Whenever I interact with these shitlords, I always try to appeal to their idiotic beliefs by warning of a liberal future that includes pro-abortion/anti-2nd Amendment laws, forced vaccination, litterbox-using LGBT-supporting teachers & the like... you know, to hopefully scare them & galvanize them into action.  Not because it's what I necessarily believe.  It's pretty amusing LARPing as a wingnut, signing my name as some redneck shit like "Clyde H. Miller" or "Boone 'Buck' Allen Brown"--unmistakably white, male & stupid.

As bad as our centrist Democrat party is, nobody does hypocrisy and hatred like the right wing.  The same people who rabidly support not only the death penalty but botched executions and torture in our prisons also make it their life's mission to force women to carry/birth/raise unwanted babies statistically bound for that prison system.  We are 49th in the nation in education, didn't expand Medicaid until it came up on the ballot by way of petition in 2020, have a serious problem with people dying unexpectedly in our county jail* & our rates of child/animal abuse are despicable, but by all means, let's force MORE unwanted babies to be born and fed into this shitty system.  Mills require grist to function, after all.  *Note: that list of deaths is from 2023.  Since then, many more have died (at least 6 in 2024 and 7 so far in 2025).

States receiving the most Federal Aid, February 2025.  Notice a pattern?

Here are a few other common right-wing Okie beliefs for the uninitiated.  These people are:

- Anti-welfare, but also anti-livable minimum wage.  We're also among the top states receiving federal aid despite our uppity attitudes toward social welfare programs like TANF, SNAP & Section 8.

- Climate crisis denying drug war supporters who spend a good portion of their lives demonizing Mexican and S. American immigrants, nearly all of whom are here due to either climate change consequences (crop failure, famine, lack of water, etc), drug cartel violence or both.

- The state with the most Native American tribes and historically Black towns (over 50 at one point!), yet violently racist and xenophobic.

- Have a pretendian governor who claims Cherokee ancestry yet goes out of his way to piss off the Cherokee tribe & other Indian tribes/groups.

- Pro-"small government" when it comes to reigning in corporations, making billionaires pay their fair share of taxes or passing even the most benign, sensible gun control legislation, yet insist on banning or trying to restrict abortion, porn, drugs, gay marriage & anything else that makes life tolerable for most of the consenting adults who reside here.  Hell, tattoos and gambling were illegal in this state until the mid-2000s, and only in 2018 did we vote to allow beer with more than a 3.2% alcohol content to be sold in grocery & convenience stores.  But yes, get the evil Nanny State out of our everyday lives, please.   ๐Ÿ™„

- Tea Party Constitutionalists who also want their religion to be the law of the land, totally trampling on the separation of church and state that this country was founded on by mandating teacher-led prayer in school, the posting of the Ten Commandments in classrooms, trying to have Christian statues installed at the capitol and more.  The Taliban ain't got nothin' on us!

Steaming mad at the hypocrisy, stupidity & ugliness of it all?  I sure am.  On top of the Trump shit, living in an every-county-red-since-2004 state is oppressively bleak at times.  The least I can do is write lots of angry letters to my representative about the state of things.  You know, since signing petitions will likely be off the ballot (pun intended) for me in the future. ๐Ÿ˜ž

If OK passes this shitty law, other states will be sure to follow so please don't sit idly by thinking it can't happen to you.  Be like me and use a fake name to contact one of our fine representatives today, telling them to vote NO on SB 1027.  OR if you prefer, simply sign this petition telling our governor to vote no.  Just be sure to use a real OK address so your signature or letter is not ignored/trashed (which it may be anyway, but there's strength in numbers so every signature, letter & call helps ensure this shitty idea does NOT become law).

Thank you.
