This haunting ad for Pakistan International Airlines came out in 1979, long before the terrorist attacks of 9/11/2001. While clearly a coincidence, the question arises: what are the chances Osama bin Laden got the idea for the attacks from this ad? You may be thinking: that's ridiculous! Bin Laden was a Saudi national who lived in Afghanistan, not Pakistan. True, except for this little factoid:
Right place, right time?
So he certainly could've seen the ad in a magazine or plastered on a billboard somewhere during or after 1979. Obviously the ad itself is merely coincidence and is far from the only unfortunate photo to feature the Twin Towers before the attacks. Here are a few others:
In more recent news, the same exact airline--Pakinstan International Airlines--drew major blowback for their ad featuring a plane flying "at" the Eiffel Tower. In 2025.
Once is an accident; twice is... what, exactly? It's worth noting that the alleged mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Muhammad, was arrested in Pakistan in 2003. Might be worth looking into who's creating these ads & whether they have any ties to extremists/terrorists in the region at the very least. But far be it from me to tell the Feds how to do their job. Lord knows they're already occupied with things like watching hours of graphic CSAM footage from Epstein's surveillance cameras & not prosecuting anyone.
